What is E-TASC?
E-TASC (Electronics - Tool for Accountable Supply Chains) is a system for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies to manage corporate responsibility (CR) throughout their supply chains in an efficient manner.
CR is the voluntary commitment of enterprises to account for the social, environmental and economic impacts of their business.
Promoting Accountable Supply Chains
E-TASC is an information technology platform for companies to effectively implement a standards-based approach for improving supplier compliance with codes related to labour, health, safety, ethics and environmental activity.
E-TASC has been created by ICT companies working together through the collaboration of the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) and the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC) Group.
We are refining a set of tools to assess conformance. Information generated from self-assessments and a common audit process will be available in the E-TASC system, which will distribute the data to the subscribers while protecting the confidentiality of supplier relationships.
In this way, suppliers and customers will be able to work with the information as they would any other business-to-business interaction.
Our Vision
To build awareness and capability throughout the electronics supply chain to achieve consistently high standards of social and environmental responsibility.
